Lucy Michell is a native Minnesotan who currently resides in St.Paul with her woodworking and welding husband Cooper Sheehan, their 3 kids, 4 chickens and 1 dog.

Lucy graduated from the University of MN with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design in 2010 and for the past 11 years she has been an illustrator and touring musician, solo as well as with her band Little Fevers (formerly known as Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles). During her time at the U and touring with her band, she wrote and performed music as well as illustrated and created many band posters, album covers and merchandise.

Along with filling several sketchbooks with drawings from her travels. Lucy mainly works in gouache but also enjoys printmaking, ceramics and digital illustration. She was the selected artist for the 2015 Stone Arch Bridge Festival and has shown her work at Honeycomb, Squirrelhaus Arts and American Craft Council’s Winter Craft Bash.

She has created posters and album covers for several shows and bands, and has been commissioned to do paintings and digital art work for Target, small independent companies, restaurants, and ad firms. Currently Lucy is working on a new book and getting her Masters in k-12 Arts Education.
